Event Information
Run to the "MAX" for Mental Health is a trail event taking place at the Noccalula Falls Black Creek Trails in Gadsden, Alabama, on May 9, 2026. The event supports the nonprofit organization MAXimizing Mental Health, Inc. Participants can choose from three event options:
- 5k Run: A trail running event.
- 1 mile Fun Walk: A shorter walking event on the trail.
- Sleep in Option (T-Shirt only): This option includes an event t-shirt without participation in the run or walk.
All three events have a registration deadline of May 8, 2026. A registration option is also available on the day of the event. Participants must be registered by May 2, 2026, to be guaranteed a t-shirt. Awards will be presented after the race; medals will be given to the highest finishers in various age groups for the 5k.
Course Details
The 5k course is a detailed trail run within the Noccalula Falls Black Creek Trails. It begins near a chapel and follows a route on gravel paths and wooded trails, passing landmarks like Cascade Bridge, Black Creek Trail, Family Loop, Jeep Hill Loop, Drift Mine Trail, and Whatley Trail.
