Event overview
The Medal Madness races take place on March 14, 2026, at James Martin Trail Park in Gadsden, Alabama (829 Old S 4th St, Gadsden, AL 35901). The event includes the following distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
All entrants must register on RunSignup; there is no on-site registration. The event has a course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes. Finisher medals are provided and the organizer lists a shirt and gear shop, a best costume recognition, awards, and series points.
Courses and logistics
Courses are on a pea gravel trail behind the Gadsden Mall. The organizer provides loop details for each race: the 5K and 10K use an out-and-back loop described with a 0.78-mile segment and an out-and-back length of 1.56 miles; the 5K repeats that out-and-back twice and the 10K repeats it four times. The half marathon uses a different out-and-back loop described with 1.09 miles and an out-and-back of 3.18 miles; the half marathon repeats that out-and-back six times. The organizer notes a GPS waypoint that may lead to a small building on Old S 4th Street and gives parking directions to the lot just south of that building.
