US Road Running - Lakewood Ranch
The US Road Running event at Heritage Harbor Park in Bradenton, Florida, features several distance options for participants. This race series includes a variety of timed events held on an out-and-back course layout. Registration must be completed online in advance, as there is no registration available at the event location on the day of the race.
Participants can choose from three main distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon (13.1 Miles)
The 5K and 10K courses utilize a 1.56-mile stretch, resulting in a 3.11-mile out-and-back loop. Runners completed the 5K by running this loop once, while 10K participants complete it twice. The Half Marathon uses a slightly different 1.64-mile path, requiring participants to complete an out-and-back loop four times to reach the total distance.
The event has a maximum time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes for all distances. Finishers receive a medal upon completion of their race. Additional activities associated with the event include a best costume competition, and participants can earn points toward a larger race series.
