The Big Father's Day 5K
The Big Father's Day 5K is the second annual running event held in Bradenton, Florida. In-person races take place along the Bradenton Riverwalk on June 20, 2026. A virtual 5K option begins June 1, 2026. The event location is 452 3rd Ave W, Bradenton, FL 34205.
The event program includes these distances:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk (Untimed)
- Kids Dash (12 & Under)
- 5K Virtual
The 5K Run/Walk is chip timed. Registered 5K participants receive a finisher's medal, a race bib, and a commemorative race hat when available. The in-person events include a post race party with complimentary food and beverages for race participants. The 5K requires participants to be five years of age or older; any child four or under must remain in a stroller when accompanying a parent or guardian during the 5K.
The 1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk is untimed. Participants receive a themed race bib and a commemorative race hat when available. The fun run requires participants to be three years of age or older; any child two or under must remain in a stroller.
The Kids Dash is bracketed by age groups: 3y-4y, 5y-6y, 7y-9y, and 10y-12y. Kids Dash participants receive a finisher's medal and a custom bib. Children registered for the 5K or the 1 Mile may also participate in the Kids Dash.
The 5K Virtual option provides a digital bib by race day. Virtual participants must upload their time by Sunday, June 22 to receive a cap or visor and a finisher's medal by mail within 5 to 10 business days of that date. Virtual participants are not eligible for age group awards.
Registration fees and windows vary by event. Hats are distributed first come first serve and are one size fits all; when hats are sold out registrants may choose a no hat option without a fee reduction. Any no hat selection is considered a donation to the Big Bill Foundation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
