Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital Pier Run
The event is a July 4th walk and run held at the St Pete Pier and Spa Beach. The main distance is a four mile walk/run along the St Pete waterfront that begins and finishes on the Pier. There is also a 2x4 Challenge that combines two four mile waves for an eight mile total; 2x4 Challenge participants receive one bib, a race shirt, and two medals.
The course is described as flat and is closed to traffic. Each wave is limited to 1,500 runners and the overall walk/run field is capped at 3,000 participants. There is one hydration station on course. Packet pickup is available at Spa Beach the day before the event and on the morning of the event.
Post race activities on Spa Beach include holiday food and adult beverages from local breweries, beach towels and ice buckets provided by Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital, a cold plunge feature from Iceburg, and recovery services from Back2Normal. The event program includes additional activities such as a pie eating contest limited to 20 participants, ice cream, pizza, popsicles, and fireworks. When registering participants may opt to donate to the St Pete Youth Farm. Entry fees are listed by month and the event has a no refund policy with a deferral option available before June 15, 2026.
