Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital Pier Run
The Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital Pier Run is a Fourth of July walk and run held at the St Pete Pier and Spa Beach. The primary event is a 4 mile walk/run on a closed, flat course that follows the St Pete waterfront and finishes on the Pier. The field is capped at 3,000 participants across two waves, with a limit of 1,500 runners per wave. There is one hydration station on course.
A 2x4 Challenge option allows participants to run both waves for an 8 mile total and includes a single bib, a race shirt, and two medals. Race entries include a timed bib with chip, a race shirt, a finisher medal, and a beach towel. Packet pickup is available at Spa Beach the day before and the morning of the event.
The post race area on Spa Beach features July 4th themed food items, refreshments and adult beverages from local breweries, merchandise such as beach towels and ice buckets, a cold plunge installation, and recovery services. Event activities include a costume contest and a pie eating contest that is limited in entries. The organizer offers no refunds of entry or service fees; entries may be deferred before June 15, 2026 for a deferral code worth 75 percent of the entry fee toward the following year.
