Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital Pier Run
The Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital Pier Run is a Fourth of July walk/run held at the St Pete Pier and Spa Beach in St Petersburg, FL. The main distance is a four mile walk/run along a flat, waterfront course that begins near Spa Beach and finishes on the Pier. The course is closed to traffic, limited to 1,500 runners per wave, and includes one on-course hydration station. The overall event is capped at 3,000 participants across two waves.
Extras around the event include post-race items provided by Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital such as beach towels and ice buckets, a cold plunge provided by Iceburg, and recovery services from Back2Normal. Food and celebration elements at the post-race party on Spa Beach include pie eating contests, ice cream, pizza, popsicles, fireworks, and adult beverages from Green Bench Brewing Company and 3 Daughters Brewing. The entry fee includes a bib with timing chip, race shirt, finisher medal, and a beach towel.
Additional details: bib pick-up is available on July 3 and the morning of July 4 at Spa Beach; a costume contest and a limited pie eating contest take place on site; participants can donate to the St Pete Youth Farm. The event has a no-refund policy, with a deferral option available before June 15, 2026 for a 75% credit toward the 2027 race.
