Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital Pier Run
This event is a July 4 walk and run held at the St Pete Pier and Spa Beach. The main distance is a four mile walk/run offered in two separate waves. A 2x4 Challenge lets a participant complete both waves for an eight mile total.

The course is a flat route that begins near Spa Beach, follows the St Pete waterfront, and finishes on the Pier. The course is closed to vehicular traffic, is limited to 1,500 runners per wave, and has one hydration station on course. Overall participation for the walk/run is capped at 3,000 across the two waves.
Entry includes a bib with timing chip, a race shirt, a finisher medal, and a beach towel. The post race area on Spa Beach features July 4 themed food and beverages and recovery services. Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital items and cold plunge equipment from an external vendor are part of the post race setup. A costume contest and a pie eating contest are scheduled at the event; the pie eating contest is limited to 20 participants. The event supports the St Pete Youth Farm and offers an option to donate to that charity.
There are no refunds of entry or service fees. Entries may be deferred before June 15, 2026 for a deferral code equal to 75 percent of the entry fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
