Race Overview
The US Road Running Williamsburg event takes place at Lois Hornsby Middle School in Williamsburg, Virginia. This sanctioned race is part of the US Road Running Race Series and offers a variety of distances for participants. Runners can choose between shorter or longer distances depending on their preference.
Distances
The following race distances are available:
- 5K
- 10K
- 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon)
- 26.2 Miles (Marathon)
Course Details
The event utilizes two primary course layouts based on the selected distance. The 5K and 10K participants run on a 1.56 mile out and back course. Those in the 5K complete the loop once, while 10K participants complete it twice.
For the 13.1 Miles and 26.2 Miles distances, the course follows a 1.64 mile loop. Runners in the Half Marathon complete the out and back four times. Marathon participants complete the loop eight times. There is a total course time limit of 6 hours for all participants.
Participation and Logistics
All participants must register in advance through the designated online portal, as there is no on-site registration. Packet pickup begins 30 minutes before the start of the race. Parking is available at the Lois Hornsby Middle School parking lot, and the race begins at the school bus loop. Finishers receive a themed medal for their participation.
