The Jamestown Half Marathon, Virginia Company 5K and Discovery Mile
The event day includes multiple race options held in the Jamestown area, with a flat course that passes Jamestown Settlement, circles Jamestown Island, and follows sections of Greensprings and the Virginia Capital Trail. The half marathon course is described as flat and scenic and is organized as part of regional Grand Prix series.
Perks provided to participants include a custom race T-shirt (T-shirt size guaranteed for registrations by Oct 8, 2026), a custom finisher medal for those who finish, a swag bag, after-race refreshments and complimentary beer for those 21 or older, plus DJ music for entertainment. The races use chip timing and awards are issued by chip time where applicable.
Awards and categories are specified for each race. Half marathon awards include top three male and female overall, male and female Masters and Grand Masters, plus age-group awards (15 and under; 16-19; then five-year groups from 20-24 through 80 and over). The 5K awards include top three overall, Masters, Grand Masters, and multiple youth and adult age groups starting at 8 and under. The 5K also offers a Competitive Walk division with overall and Masters awards. The Jamestown Half Marathon Ruck Run Walk awards top male and female ruck finishers. Virtual race options are available; virtual participants receive swag, a medal and race T but are not eligible for awards or Grand Prix qualification. Virtual merchandise can be shipped for a $9 fee and virtual runs must be completed by Nov 1, 2026.
