Greensprings 24 - 24 Hour Endurance Race
Greensprings 24 is a 24-hour endurance race scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2026 in Williamsburg, VA at 3751 John Tyler Hwy. This is the fourth annual running of the event. Registration is expected to open on March 1, 2026 and closes on Wed, Oct 21 at 11:59 PM ET. Registering before Oct 8 guarantees T-shirt size.
The course is a loop, with each loop USATF certified at 2.215 miles. Only full loops count. Distances include:
- 50k (14 loops)
- Marathon (12 loops)
- Half marathon (6 loops)
- 50 miles
- 75 miles
- 100k
- 100 miles
The trail surface is crushed gravel and is described as mainly flat, scenic, and non-technical with very minimal elevation gain and loss. The course will be marked with reflective confidence streamers. Amenities include porta potties at the loop check-in, numerous food options, and grilling throughout the night. Participants will have space to set up tents and supplies near the loop check-in, which is about 50 yards from the parking lot. Parking is available on site at the school.
Packet pickup is available race morning or Friday, Oct 23 from 4-6 pm at the start and finish area. Pacers are permitted after 3 pm. A half marathon will run on the same trail in the opposite direction on Saturday morning, which may increase trail traffic. A detailed participant packet will be emailed in the second week of October.
Awards are given for completing selected distances and to the top three overall male and female finishers. The event benefits The Arc in Williamsburg, Virginia. Donations can be added at checkout, collected by participants, or given on race day and the following week. Teams are allowed; each team member must register separately and team mileage is tracked for a team prize. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
