Medal Madness at Largo
The US Road Running event in Largo, Florida, offers multiple distances for runners at Eagle Lake Park. This event is part of the US Road Running Race Series, allowing participants to earn points toward the seasonal standings. The competition features an out-and-back course layout on asphalt surfaces.
Participants can choose from three distinct distances:
- 5K: A 1.56-mile out-and-back course completed once.
- 10K: The 1.56-mile out-and-back course completed twice.
- Half Marathon: A 1.64-mile out-and-back course completed four times.
The event has a total course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes. Packet pickup is conducted on-site starting 30 minutes before the session begins and concludes 10 minutes prior to the start. All participants must complete their registration online via RunSignup, as there is no option for on-site registration.
All finishers across all distances receive a themed medal upon completion of their race. While not a requirement for participation, the organizers encourage the use of costumes during the event.
