45th Annual Armadillo Run
The Armadillo Run is an annual athletics event organized by the Rotary Club of Oldsmar Eastlake. In 2026, the event celebrates its 45th anniversary. The races take place in Oldsmar, Florida, with the starting point located near the Oldsmar Public Library. Half of all proceeds from the event are dedicated to Alzheimer's research, while the remaining funds support local community projects through the Rotary Club.
Participants can choose from three different distances on flat and scenic certified courses:
- 10K (6.2 miles)
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 1 Mile Run-Walk-Fun
The 10K and 5K courses feature chip timing and mile markers at every mile. Water stations are positioned along the routes to assist runners. All participants receive a finisher's medal upon completion of their race. Runners who pre-register early are also provided with a commemorative t-shirt.
For the 10K and 5K races, awards are presented to the top three finishers in each age group. Following the races, an outdoor gathering features food, beverages, and entertainment. Additional services available on-site include participant massages. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
