45th Annual Armadillo Run
The Armadillo Run is an annual community race held in Oldsmar on March 14, 2026, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Oldsmar/Eastlake. The event supports Alzheimer’s research and local projects; fifty percent of proceeds are designated for Alzheimer’s research, and the remaining funds benefit the Oldsmar Eastlake Rotary Club and local community projects.
There are three event distances offered:
- 1 mile Run Walk Fun
- 5K
- 10K
The 5K and 10K use certified courses described as flat, fast, and scenic, with chip timing. Mile markers are placed every mile and water stations are provided on the course. All participants receive a special finisher’s medal. Early pre-registered entrants are guaranteed a commemorative Armadillo Run t-shirt. Awards are given to the top three in each age group for both the 5K and 10K.
Additional event features include a post-race gathering with massages, entertainment, food, and beer. Event information such as course maps, parking, packet pickup, and results are provided by the organizers at the event location, Oldsmar Public Library.
