About the race
Rotary Runs the Beach is the eighth annual community run on Indian Rocks Beach, scheduled for March 6, 2027. The event features a chip timed 5K, a 1 mile family fun run or walk, and a virtual run option. Both inperson races start on the beach at the Rocks Beach Access, 1700 Gulf Beach Blvd, Indian Rocks Beach.
Parking on site requires a nominal fee at kiosks or free parking is available on city streets. The event includes age group medals with 10 year breakouts and an individual running contest open to all participants. Registrants are offered packet pick up at Guilty Sea, 301 Gulf Boulevard, on the two days before the race and at the Indian Rocks Beach Access on race day. Race t shirts are not guaranteed for registrations completed after February 12. A referral program returns twenty dollars for each participant who refers five people.
After the run there is an after party at Guilty Sea about one mile from the race start; registrants receive a complimentary beverage and an all you can eat buffet is available for twelve dollars for registrants, family members and friends. Proceeds benefit Rotary Club of Indian Rocks projects that support local and international causes under the Service Above Self mission. The event proceeds rain or shine.
