About the race
Rotary Runs The Beach is the 8th annual community running event held in March 2027 on Indian Rocks Beach, Florida. The event offers in-person and virtual options along the shoreline and supports Rotary Club of Indian Rocks projects that benefit local and international causes under the mission "Service Above Self."
Distances and formats:
- 5K: chip timed, out-and-back on the beach, medals for age-group winners.
- 1 Mile: family run/walk, out-and-back on the beach, not timed.
- 5K - Virtual: virtual participation with submitted results placed in the event results.
Packet pick-up and in-person registration are provided at an off-beach location (Guilty Sea) and at the Indian Rocks Beach access; race day packet pick-up is available at the beach access. Race T-shirts are not guaranteed for registrations completed after February 25. A referral program offers a refund to registrants who refer multiple new participants.
The event notes an after-party at Guilty Sea, about a mile from the race location; registrants receive one complimentary beverage and an all-you-can-eat buffet is offered to registrants and guests for a stated fee. The Original Crabby Bill's is listed as a main sponsor. The event proceeds support Rotary projects and the event runs in rain or shine.
