Event details
The Viking event at Clark's Creek Greenway in Charlotte, NC includes 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon distances. The event location is Mallard Creek Playground, across from Mallard Creek Elementary School, at 9729 Mallard Creek Rd, Charlotte, NC 28267. Course and logistics
The course has a hill at the start and finish. The 5K and 10K use the same out-and-back segment: a mapped segment of 1.56 miles and an out-and-back of 3.11 miles; the 5K runs that course once and the 10K twice. The Half Marathon uses a mapped segment of 1.64 miles and an out-and-back of 3.275 miles; the Half Marathon runs that out-and-back four times. The event has a course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes. The event offers finisher medals, event shirts and gear, a best costume recognition, series points, and awards.
