2026 Bunny Run 5k & Festival

The Bunny Run 5k & Festival takes place in Concord, NC on Saturday, April 4, 2026. The event combines timed racing with a family-oriented festival that includes face painting, a DJ/MC, food trucks, arts and crafts, and dancing with the Easter Bunny. The festival is free.

The event program includes the following distances:

5k race
Fun Run (1 mile)

Races begin on McCachern Blvd beside the Cabarrus County Parking Lot. The Fun Run follows the Downtown Connector Greenway with a half-mile turnaround. Course maps and an event map are available for the 5k and the Fun Run.

Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in each age group: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, and 75 and over. New divisions for 2026 include First Overall Male and Female Masters Division (40+), Grand Masters Division (50+), and Senior Grand Masters Division (60+).

Registration notes: register by March 13 to be guaranteed a T-shirt. The 5k has an entry fee listed at $20 and the Fun Run is listed as free. Race day registration carries an additional $10 charge, is card only, and is processed via QR code at the event. Packet pick up is scheduled at the David Phillips Activity Center and the Academy Recreation Center in the days before the race, with race day pick up available in the County Parking Lot next to the start/finish line.
