New South Trail Marathon - Whitewater
The New South Trail Marathon takes place at the Whitewater Center in Charlotte, NC on April 10, 2027. The event offers two trail distances over the center’s trail system.
- 13.1 miles Half Marathon
- 26.2 miles Full Marathon
Registration fees are published for both pre-registration and race day entry, with pre-registration deadlines listed. Packet pick-up occurs the day before the event at the South Conference Center. Necessary course information will be made available up to four weeks before the race.
Aid stations are located on course and provide hydration at multiple points; some stations also offer food. The course is marked with colored arrows and covers multiple surfaces, including natural surface trails with uneven terrain. Trails remain open to other runners, hikers, and bikers during the event; headphones and personal audio devices are strongly discouraged and participants should communicate when passing others.
The Whitewater Center requires a signed Assumption of Risk Agreement for all participants. Race registration is non-refundable. Short sleeve shirts, hoodies, and finisher medals have specific pre-registration deadlines for guaranteed availability. Awards are presented to top finishers by gender and age group and require the recipient to be present at the award ceremony.
Event policies note a daily parking fee and that events proceed rain or shine while the center reserves the right to alter, reschedule, or cancel events.
