New South Trail Marathon
The New South Trail Marathon is scheduled for April 10, 2027 at the Whitewater Center in Charlotte, NC. The event offers both a full marathon and a half marathon held on the center’s trail system through a mix of natural surface trails and uneven terrain.

Registration options and fees are listed for pre-registration and race day registration. The last day to pre-register is April 8, 2027. Packet pick-up is scheduled for April 9 at the South Conference Center. Race shirts are guaranteed to those who pre-register by March 29, and race medals are guaranteed to those who pre-register by March 1. Optional race hoodies are available as an add-on during registration.
Course information will be published up to four weeks before the race. Aid stations are located on course: South Main (Mile 4.2) offers hydration only; East Main (Mile 8.1) offers hydration and food; East Main (Mile 11.2) offers hydration only; the start/finish aid station offers hydration and food.
Participants must sign the Whitewater Center Assumption of Risk Agreement before participating. Registration is non-refundable. Race courses are marked with colored arrows. Trails remain open to other users; headphones and powered transportation are discouraged or prohibited. Events are scheduled to proceed rain or shine. The center charges a daily parking fee of $13. Emergency location markers are placed on the trail system and participants must call 911 for emergencies. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
