Pirate 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon at Charlotte
The Pirate running event takes place at Marion Diehl Park in Charlotte, North Carolina. This athletic gathering features multiple distances hosted by US Road Running, with all activities focused around the Marion Diehl Adaptive Field. The event requires advanced registration through RunSignup, as there is no option for on-site registration.
Participants can choose from three main distances:
- 5K (one lap of the out and back course)
- 10K (two laps of the out and back course)
- Half Marathon (four laps of the out and back course)
The course layout is designed as an out and back route for all participants. Those participating in the 10K and Half Marathon will complete multiple loops of the designated path. A strictly enforced course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes is in place for all distances.
Packet pickup is available at the race location, starting 30 minutes before the start and concluding 10 minutes prior to the beginning of the event. All finishers receive a medal upon completion of their race. The event also features a best costume competition, and participants can earn points toward the US Road Running series.
