Event overview
The Medal Madness event takes place on January 24, 2026, at Clark's Creek Greenway in Charlotte, North Carolina (9729 Mallard Creek Rd, 28267). The event includes the following distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
All runners must register on RunSignup. There is no on-site registration.
Course and logistics
The start location is Mallard Creek Playground, across from Mallard Creek Elementary School. The 5K and 10K use the same out-and-back course of about 3.11 miles; the 5K completes that course once and the 10K twice. The half marathon uses a roughly 3.275-mile out-and-back course repeated four times. The course includes a hill at the start and finish. A course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes applies.
