US Road Running - Fort Smith
The US Road Running event in Fort Smith, Arkansas, is part of a national running series. This sanctioned race offers three distinct distances for participants to choose from:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
The event utilizes an out-and-back course format specialized for each distance. The 5K and 10K participants use a 1.56-mile route, with 5K runners completing two loops and 10K runners completing four loops. Participants in the Half Marathon run on a 2.18-mile out-and-back course, which they must complete six times to reach the total distance. A course time limit of three hours and 30 minutes is enforced for all participants.
All participants receive finisher medals at the end of their race. The event also includes a costume contest, where participants are encouraged to wear themed attire for a chance to win a best costume award.
