Event details
The Medal Madness event is scheduled for January 17, 2026, at Ben Geren Regional Park in Fort Smith, AR (7200 Zero St, Fort Smith, AR 72903). The event includes three race distances: a 5K, a 10K, and a Half Marathon. Registration is handled through RunSignup; there is no on-site registration. A course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes applies.
Course and logistics
The courses are laid out as out-and-back segments with repeated loops to reach each race distance:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
The 5K and 10K use a 0.78 mile segment that is out-and-back (1.56 miles round trip). The 5K completes that segment two times and the 10K completes it four times. The Half Marathon uses a 1.09 mile segment that is out-and-back (2.18 miles round trip) and repeats that segment six times. Participants are advised to use the parking lot across from the playground. Finisher medals are provided; shirts, gear, a best costume recognition, series points, and awards are mentioned as part of the event offerings.
