Fort Smith Marathon, Half Marathon and Relays - Fort Smith, AR
The Fort Smith race weekend includes a Marathon, a Half Marathon, a 5-leg Marathon Relay, and a 2-leg Half Marathon Relay, with the start and finish located at the pavilion on 100 N B St, Fort Smith, AR 72901. The course passes through historic downtown, residential neighborhoods and paved trails, and features rolling terrain with several notable climbs and descents.

The Marathon relay is divided into five legs with approximate distances and elevation gains: Leg 1 5.4 miles / 260 ft, Leg 2 4.8 miles / 114 ft, Leg 3 4.5 miles / 262 ft, Leg 4 6.3 miles / 237 ft, Leg 5 5.5 miles / 237 ft. These values are approximate and subject to change as relay logistics are finalized. The Half Marathon follows the Marathon route then departs around mile 7.5 and rejoins at about mile 9 for the return to the finish.
Aid stations are provided along the Marathon and Half Marathon routes at approximate mile markers and include water, Gatorade, basic first-aid supplies, and portable toilets at selected locations. Nutrition is available at several Marathon aid stations and includes peanut butter pretzels, gummy bears, and GU packets. The course uses a rolling closure with a 7-hour pace policy; runners who exceed cutoff checkpoints will be stopped and transported back to the start.
Packet pickup occurs on the Friday and Saturday before race day; a race day pickup option is offered for an additional fee. An optional AMP Challenge detour to the Fort Smith Amphitheater offers a separate challenge coin, and a separate shakeout run is available for those who wish to complete the climb outside the Marathon route.
