Event Overview
The HACA Factor Dash is a 5k run and a 1-mile walk taking place at Lake Accotink Park in Springfield, Virginia. It benefits the Hemophilia Association of the Capital Area (HACA), a nonprofit supporting those impacted by bleeding disorders.
Distances
- 5k: A chip-timed run on a flat, paved, out-and-back course through the park's trails.
- 1 mile: An untimed walk. Strollers are welcome.
Participant Information
Registration includes a finisher's ribbon and an event shirt for the 5k. A virtual run option is available for those who cannot attend on the day. Points earned from this event count towards the organizer's Year-Long 5k & Back of the Pack Series and Spring Series.
Awards
Awards are given for the 5k race. The top 3 men and women overall are recognized. Age group awards (1st and 2nd place) are given for categories from 19 & Under to 70+. Runners who place in the top 3 overall are not eligible for age group awards. There are no awards for the 1-mile walk.
On-Site Details
Packet pickup and race day registration are available on-site. One water station is located on the 5k course. Restrooms are located near the beach area. Parking and event access are via the Heming Avenue entrance to the park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
