Event Details

The Grit & Grace Trail Race takes place on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Camp GuilRock in Reidsville, North Carolina. The event offers two timed races on the same course: a 12-hour event and a 6-hour ruck event. Camping is available for participants.

Distances & Format

  • 12-Hour Trail Race: A timed event where runners complete as many loops as they can over 12 hours on an approximately 3-mile mixed-terrain loop. The course reverses direction every three hours.
  • 6-Hour Ruck: A weighted race where participants carry a pack. Scoring is based on the weight carried multiplied by the distance of each lap, resulting in a total "Kz" score. Participants can adjust their pack weight between laps.

Course Information

Both events use the same course at Camp GuilRock. The loop consists of grassy trail, gravel road, single track, and forest road. The terrain is described as gentle rolling hills with flat sections. An aid station at the start/finish area provides hydration. A light source is required for the 12-hour race and highly encouraged for the ruck event due to the February date.

Venue & Logistics

Camp GuilRock is a 210-acre camp. An indoor pavilion is used for check-in/out, and a firepit will be available. A finisher's award is given to all competitors upon ending their race, noting their achieved distance or total Kz score. Overall awards are presented for 1st and 2nd place male and female in each event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
