Grit & Grace Trail Race

Grit & Grace Trail Race takes place at Camp GuilRock in Reidsville, North Carolina, and includes two timed endurance events: a 12-hour trail race and a 6-hour weighted ruck. Both events use an approximately 3 mile loop of mixed terrain that includes grassy trail, gravel road, single track, and forest road.

The course features gentle rolling terrain with flat sections. Direction on the course is reversed periodically to vary the route. A light source is required for the 12-hour event and is highly encouraged for the 6-hour event because the event occurs during short daylight hours.

There is a single aid station located at the start area stocked with Tailwind, LMNT, and water. Participants may bring additional nutrition items. Packs for weighted racers are weighed before the event, after each lap, and before starting a new lap; the official lap weight is the lesser of the two weigh-ins.

Camp GuilRock is a 210-acre camp at 531 Beville Rd. Camping off course is available for participants. Check-in and check-out take place under cover or in the indoor pavilion, and a firepit will be maintained for spectators and participants.

Race procedures include lap verification via a Race Passport with barcode scanning and stamps. Most laps are full laps; in the final hour competitors switch to shorter laps of roughly 1.25 miles. Competitors may tap out at any time by reporting to race staff. Finisher awards list achieved distance or total Kz and overall awards are given for 1st and 2nd male and female.
