Grit & Grace Trail Race
Grit & Grace Trail Race offers two timed events on the same loop at Camp GuilRock in Reidsville, North Carolina on February 27, 2027. The venue is a 210 acre camp with camping available off course, an indoor pavilion for check-in and a firepit for participants and spectators.
The course is approximately a three mile loop combining grassy trail, gravel road, single track, and forest road. Terrain includes gentle rolling sections and stretches of flat trail. There is one central aid station at the start area stocked with Tailwind, LMNT and water. Participants may bring additional nutrition.
The 12 hour trail event records completed laps; total mileage is updated after each lap. Every three hours runners entering the transition area reverse course. Because the event occurs in February, a primary light source is required and a backup is strongly encouraged. Finish awards note the distance achieved and overall awards are given for first and second male and female.
The 6 hour ruck uses the same loop with a scoring system that multiplies carried weight by lap distance to produce a Kz total. Packs are weighed before the start, at lap finish, and when leaving transition; each lap uses the lesser of those weights for scoring. Each finisher receives an award listing their Kz total. The event uses a Race Passport with barcode scanning and stamps to track completed laps and operates FLAP and SLAP formats, with SLAPs previously set at 1.25 miles.
