Event overview
The Northeast Park Duathlon takes place on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Northeast Park, 3421 Northeast Park Drive, Gibsonville, North Carolina. It is the opening race in Trivium Racing’s Multisport Series and is presented as the first outdoor multisport event of the year in North Carolina. The race uses USA Triathlon competitive rules.
Race format and entries
The event is a sprint duathlon with the following distances:
- Run 1.6 miles
- Bike 10.5 miles
- Run 1.6 miles
Event categories include Individual, Relay, Clydesdale, Masters Clydesdale (open to ages 40+), Athena, and Collegiate. The race provides a custom beanie instead of a standard race shirt as event swag.
Registration details on the event pages note published entry fees and a price increase after December 31, 2025. The organizer’s refund and transfer policies state that no refunds will be issued within 30 days of the event; earlier than 30 days a request may be made for a 50% refund of the entry fee (processing fees excluded). Entries cannot be deferred to another year or event. Entries may be transferred to another individual for a $5 fee; shirt size or equivalent swag size is not changeable.
