Event Overview
The Band on the Run 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run is an annual athletic event held in Reidsville, North Carolina. Now in its 14th year, the race supports the Rockingham County Middle School Band. The event features two primary distances:

- 1 mile
The 5 km course consists of a paved asphalt surface. The route includes a few hills and winds through the outskirts of downtown Wentworth. Participants include runners and walkers.
Awards and Recognition
The event recognizes top performers in various categories. First place awards are presented to the overall male and female finishers in the 5 km race. Additionally, the top three male and female finishers are recognized in several age groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus.
Participant Information
Registered participants receive a t-shirt and a goody bag, provided they meet the specific registration deadline of March 14th. Materials can be collected on the Friday preceding the race or on the morning of the event. The race serves as a fundraiser for local middle school music programs.
