Event overview
The Band on the Run 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run is scheduled for April 18, 2026 in Reidsville, North Carolina (27320). This is the 14th annual running of the event. Registration for both events ends April 15, 2026. Proceeds benefit the Rockingham County Middle School Band.
Distances and fees
- 5K : Price listed at $40; a reduced price of $30 is available for students who register before March 14. Age-based pricing for students (ages 1-18) is applied at checkout.

Course, awards and extras
The 5K course is 3.1 miles on paved asphalt and includes a few hills, winding through the outskirts of downtown Wentworth. Awards include 1st place overall male and female and top three male and female in these age groups: 9 and under; 10-14; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70+. T-shirt and goody bag deadline is March 14. T-shirts and goody bags are available for pickup the Friday before the race or on race day.
