Band on the Run 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run - Reidsville
The Band on the Run 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run is scheduled for April 18, 2026, in Reidsville, North Carolina, at 182 High School Rd. This is the 14th annual edition and includes a competitive 5K and a shorter fun run.
Event distances:
- 5K (3.1 miles) on a paved asphalt surface with a few hills
- 1 Mile Fun Run
Entry fees are listed for different participant groups. General entry is $40. Student pricing is reduced to $30 for those who register before March 14, and age-based student pricing applies for ages 1 to 18 at checkout. The 1 Mile Fun Run has a separate listed price.
Awards include first place overall for male and female and the top three male and female finishers in the following age groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. Proceeds from the event benefit the Rockingham County Middle School Band.
T-shirt and goody bag orders have a March 14 deadline. T-shirts and goody bags are available for pickup the Friday before the event or on the day of the event. The 5K course winds through the outskirts of downtown Wentworth. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
