Band on the Run 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run
The event is a community running program held in Reidsville, North Carolina at 182 High School Rd. It includes two distances and is organized to raise funds for the Rockingham County Middle School Band.

- 5K (3.1 miles) on a paved asphalt course
- 1 Mile Fun Run
Registration opens on 2026-04-16 and closes on 2027-04-14. Published entry fees include a general fee of $40 and a $20 fee for the 1 Mile Fun Run. A student rate of $30 applies to registrations completed before 2027-03-14; age based pricing for students aged 1 to 18 is applied at checkout.
Awards are given to the overall first place male and female and to the top three male and female finishers in these age groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. Proceeds benefit the Rockingham County Middle School Band.
The 5K course is described as a 3.1 mile route with a paved asphalt surface and a few hills winding through the outskirts of downtown Wentworth. T shirts and goody bag orders have a deadline of 2027-03-14; pickup is available the Friday before the race or on event day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
