About the race
Grit and Glaze is a multi-distance run held at Duke Island Park in Bridgewater, New Jersey on May 31, 2026. The event includes a USATF certified 5K course plus a one-mile event and a Donut Dash, and it is held rain or shine. Registration is not yet open; registration will open ahead of the event date. Amenities listed for participants include donuts and refreshments, a DJ, a race t-shirt (guaranteed for registrations by April 25), live online/text/email results for the 5K, free finish line photos for the 5K, and a merchandise tent accepting cash and PayPal.
Personalized bibs are available for those who register at least three weeks in advance. Virtual entries receive shipped bibs. Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers with gift cards for first through third place and to the top three male and female finishers in age groups 9-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 plus. The beneficiary is Iron Girl Project, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that raises funds to support high school student athletes. Additional event features include same-day registration and bib pickup at the venue, live same-day results and photos, and a course certified by USATF.
