The Big Turkey - event overview
The Big Turkey is a Thanksgiving Day road race held on November 27, 2025, at Oak Ridge Park in Clark, New Jersey. The event offers multiple distances on a mostly flat, paved park course lined with birch, oak, and pine trees. The start and finish are at Oak Ridge Park Shelter, Park Side Avenue and Parade Place, 136 Oak Ridge Road, Clark, NJ 07066.

Course, timing, amenities, and rules
The course uses paved park paths and features on-course support including water stations about every 1.5 miles, gels, and sports drink. Volunteers and trash receptacles are provided. Race-day services include live timing with splits per loop, race photos and video, a technical race shirt, and a commemorative finisher medal; personalized medals are available if requested at least five weeks before the event. Packet pick-up is race day only, 30 minutes before each start.
Timing is live with splits posted online. Runners must wear their BIB on the front torso to be timed. To be included in the awards ceremony, runners must cross the timing mat within the first three minutes after the start. Rules include a minimum age of 12, a half marathon completion limit of 3 hours (finish chute removed after 2 hours 45 minutes), required waivers and photo ID for bib pickup, and no coaches, baby-joggers, bikes, dogs, inline skates, or skateboards on course.
