Chatham Trot the Manor
Chatham Trot the Manor is an annual Thanksgiving Day morning running event held at the corner of Jackson and Rowan Road in Chatham Boro, New Jersey. The event offers two race distances:
- 1 Mile Fun Run
- 5K Run (3.1 miles)
The event functions as a fundraiser; proceeds benefit the Chatham Borough Volunteer Fire Department and Chatham Volunteer EMS. Registration is handled online. Entry fees are listed as $25 for the 5K and $20 for the 1 Mile Fun Run, with a $30 fee for race day registration.
The first 500 registered participants are guaranteed a shirt, though sizes cannot be guaranteed. Shirts are distributed at Art with Heart, 13A Roosevelt Ave, Chatham, NJ. A limited number of 40 "Trot" hats will be available for purchase; hats are not a substitute for shirt giveaways.
A food drive is held in partnership with Chatham United Methodist Church to collect nonperishable food, toiletries, diapers, and wipes. Donations may be dropped off at 24 Jackson Ave, Chatham, NJ by Monday, November 25. The event materials note onsite check-in and breakfast on the morning of the race and list registration availability through an online platform.
