Event Overview
This is the 14th annual Trot the Manor Thanksgiving race. It takes place on Thanksgiving morning at the corner of Jackson & Rowan Road in Chatham Borough, New Jersey.
Distances
The event offers two distances:
- 5k Run
- 1 Mile Fun Run
Registration and Costs
Registration opens on September 19, 2026. The registration fee is $25 for the 5k and $20 for the 1 Mile Fun Run. Race day registration is available for $30.
Fundraising and Community Support
The event is a fundraiser, with proceeds benefiting the Chatham Borough Volunteer Fire Department and Chatham Volunteer EMS. There is also a food drive in partnership with Chatham United Methodist Church. Participants are encouraged to drop off non-perishable food items, toiletries, diapers, and wipes at 24 Jackson Ave by the Monday before the race.
Participant Perks
The first 500 registrants are guaranteed a race shirt, though sizes cannot be guaranteed. Shirts can be picked up at a local store on the Wednesday before the event. A limited number of "Trot" hats are also available for purchase separately.
