Course and logistics
The half marathon is an all-trail route covering main Griffith Park trails and passes landmarks such as the Old Pony Ride, Merry Go Round, Travel Town, the zoo, the Autry Museum and Crystal Springs picnic area. The course description notes a fast, flat compact-trail start for the first 4 miles, rolling hills around miles 5–7, and a mostly flat, faster final section. The 5K course follows the golf course perimeter and is described as flat.
There are six water stations on the half marathon route; 5K participants have water at the midpoint. Portable restrooms are located near the Travel Town area. A roving first aid team covers main access points and a first aid station is available at the finish area. Event parking is free in nearby Griffith Park lots, with signage from Crystal Springs Road.
