Event Details
The Green Run is an annual event held at Riverbend Park in Jupiter, Florida, on Saturday, March 7, 2026. The event is organized by the Partnership for Environmental Education (PFEE), an all-volunteer nonprofit. The event's purpose is to raise funds for the Jupiter Environmental Research & Field Studies Academy (JERFSA), a high school environmental science program.
Events and Activities
Participants can choose from three main event options:
- A 5K Green Run (run or walk).
- A 1 Mile Nature Run and/or Treasure Walk. This event includes a "Crushed Coral" course and the option to participate in the Nature's Treasure Seek activity.
- A Virtual Green Run.
All in-person participants receive a finisher medal and can choose between a Dri-FIT tank or tee shirt. A special post-race activity called the "Nature's Treasure Seek" is available. This is a course where participants can search for information stations and solve a clue after completing their race.
Additional event features include a presentation by a naturalist with live animals and free face painting.
Awards and Fees
Awards are given in the 5K and 1 Mile events for overall and age group finishers. The 5K has age categories for ages 10 and under up to 90+. The 1 Mile event recognizes age groups 7 and under and 8-10. Registration fees are listed as $40 for the 5K and virtual run, and $35 for the 1 Mile event.
