19th Annual Rooney's 5K Run/Walk

The 19th Annual Rooney's 5K Run/Walk takes place in West Palm Beach, Florida. The event is hosted at PBKC and utilizes a course that passes through the roads of Historical Westgate CRA. This event is a charity focused race that has raised funds for local organizations throughout Palm Beach County since 2008. The supported charities for this edition include Connections Education Center, Palm Beach County - Police Athletic League, Potentia Academy, and Westgate CRA.

Participants can choose from several event categories:

5 km Run/Walk
1 mile Kids Fun Run

The 5 km course holds a USATF Certificate (FL19024TY). All participants in the 5 km event are chip-timed by Accuchip USA, Inc. The race organizers provide a breakfast for all internal participants following the conclusion of the run. T-shirts and race medals are available for the first 400 individuals who enter the event.

The venue is located at 1111 N. Congress Ave. For safety and course management, local roads close shortly before the start of the main event. It is important to note that dogs are not permitted to participate in the race. There are specific registration categories available for military members, veterans, first responders, local residents, and full-time students.
