Great Springs Trail Race - Canyon Lake
The event takes place at Canyon Park (1769 Canyon Park Rd, Canyon Lake, TX) and is scheduled for June 6, 2026. The course uses a well-marked 7.8 mile loop that runs near the shoreline and through mostly shaded, technical singletrack on the Madrone Trail. The 25K covers two full loops and the 50K covers four full loops. The 10K follows a shortened version of the loop to reach about 6.2 miles, and the 5K uses a marked turn to finish near 3.1 miles.
Distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- 25K
- 50K
- Youth 1 Mile
Aid support includes a full on-course aid station around the loop midpoint plus a start/finish aid area, with additional water and ice stations between. The series is cupless; runners should carry a bottle or cup. Collapsible cups will be available for purchase at packet pickup or the merch tent.
Course markings use orange caution tape, yellow arrows, and confidence markers so navigation is intended to be straightforward. Chip timing is used with ankle-mounted chips that must be returned if a participant leaves early. Pacers are not allowed.
Race operations emphasize Leave No Trace: littering can lead to disqualification, and organic items such as fruit peels are treated as trash. Parking and park entry are managed by the park; spectators pay an entry fee unless covered by runner registration proof. Pavilion 1 serves as the race hub on the north side of the park.
