Jingle Bell Run - San Marcos
The Jingle Bell Run is part of the Sights & Sounds of Christmas festival in San Marcos. The event includes a city 5K that runs through downtown and the Historic District and a Kids K course that runs within the festival area. The race uses San Marcos Plaza Park at Hutchison and CM Allen as the start and finish location and is scheduled for December 12, 2026.

Event logistics include packet pickup on festival dates and a special daytime pickup at the Chamber of Commerce before race weekend. Online registration is available and closes on race morning. Runner packets include a technical T-shirt, a chipped bib, safety pins, and jingle bells; packets may be collected by another person on a runner’s behalf.
Awards cover overall male and female, overall masters, top three in gender, and standard age-group places from 5 & under through 85 and over. Crowd-voted prizes include Best Festive and a Most Bells On prize for the Kids K; winners must be present to claim those prizes. The course is chipped and certified, the race is held rain or shine, and provisions such as water and hot chocolate are available. Strollers and leashed dogs are permitted but should start toward the back for safety. The course is not closed; officers will assist with traffic control along the route.
