About the race
The event is a community 5K run/walk held at the Great South Bay YMCA in Bay Shore, New York. Event shirts are distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Awards include a one-year Full Adult YMCA membership and a Y gift basket for the top male and female overall, and medals for the top three male and female finishers in each age group. Age-group categories run from 15 & under through 80+. BIB pickup is offered both before the race and on race day at the YMCA location.
Virtual entries receive bibs shipped within a shipping window that ranges from about one week before the event to one week after. Registered participants who complete registration three weeks in advance can receive a personalized race number. Results and photos are published online, with live results and same-day finish-line pictures and video available through the event's result services.
