GREAT SOUTH BAY RUN
The Great South Bay Run takes place on Saturday October 3 2026 in Bay Shore, NY 11706. It is the 41st annual running event presented by the organizers and includes in-person and virtual options.

- 13.1 miles Half Marathon
- 6.2 miles 10K Run/Walk
- 3.1 miles 5K Run/Walk
- 3.1 miles 5K Jogging Stroller Run/Walk
- Virtual Mile Challenge
The event features three USATF-certified run courses. Each in-person race begins and ends at Bay Shore Marina Park and follows scenic routes through the historic Bay Shore downtown area. Courses pass residential sections by the Brightwaters lakes, cascades, and canals and offer finish area views of Fire Island and the Great South Bay.
