About the race
The Barre Congregational Church hosts the 22nd annual Gobble Wobble Thanksgiving Day 5K Run/Walk on November 26, 2026 in Barre, Vermont. The start and finish are located at the pavilion at the end of the recreation area at Barre Town School, 70 Websterville Road. Parking is available at the Barre Town School parking lot and portable toilets will be available near the start line. A course map will be available at packet pick-up and at same-day registration, which also takes place at the pavilion.
Online registration opens September 14, 2026 and closes November 21, 2026. The online registration fee is $20 and same-day registration is $30. T-shirts may be purchased during registration for $25 when ordered by November 8, 2026. Strollers and dogs on a leash are welcome, and participants are invited to wear costumes.
All profits from the event will be used for the church’s mission and outreach efforts, which include Saturday morning community breakfasts, monthly community dinners, food drives and the church food shelf, weekly meals for the Good Samaritan Haven, Thanksgiving dinner boxes, Christmas gifts for families in need, and donations to the Circle Women’s Shelter and Peoples Health and Wellness.
