CVR New Year's Eve 5K : Montpelier, VT
Central Vermont Runners hosts a community 5K in downtown Montpelier. The course begins on Langdon Street and this year includes a short spur and turnaround on Dunpatrick. A route map is available on MapMyRun.
Registration opens December 6, 2026 and closes December 29, 2026. Fees differ for pre-registration and race-day entry: pre-registration fees are $15 for adults, $10 for children and students ages 0-19, and $10 for adults 65 and older. Race-day fees are $20 for adults, $15 for children and students ages 0-19, and $15 for adults 65 and older. There is a $5 discount for children who register with their parents on race day.
Bib number pickup is handled at Onion River Outdoors, City Center, 89 Main St., Montpelier. Awards and after-race refreshments are held in the main space at City Center after the run.
Organizers note that runners must stay on the course or face disqualification and advise dressing for winter conditions. Participants should plan to use and pay for on-street and public lot parking in Montpelier; a public lot is located across from 89 Main Street.
