Vermont SwimRun Challenge
The Vermont SwimRun Challenge is a swimrun event on Sunday, June 13, 2027, at Boulder Beach in Groton, Vermont. The course uses lakeshores and forest trails with no pavement, combining open-water swims and trail runs through the local landscape.
There are three distance options offered:
- Discover - 10K; 4 swims, 4 runs.
- Adventure - 20K; 6 swims, 6 runs.
- Epic - 36K; about 15 swims and 15 runs, connecting up to four lakes.
Racing may be done solo or with a partner. The Discover course is a shorter introduction to swimrun, while the Adventure and Epic courses increase distance, number of transitions, and time on trails and in water. The Epic course involves multiple lake crossings and roughly 15 swim-run transitions.
Registration opens October 1, 2026. Registration closes June 11, 2027 for the Discover distance, and June 6, 2027 for the Adventure and Epic distances. Listed entry fees are $75 for Discover, $105 for Adventure, and $165 for Epic. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
