Girls on the Run North Bay 5K : 5K Celebration
Girls on the Run North Bay holds a season-closing celebratory 5K at Napa Valley College on November 8, 2026. The event brings together program participants, families, and community members from Napa, Solano, and Sonoma counties to mark completion of the program and to provide a tangible sense of accomplishment.
The event is noncompetitive and welcomes participants of all abilities to walk, run, roll, push, or skip the 3.1 miles course at their own pace. Every registered participant who completes the course receives a commemorative medal; this year includes a special 20-year medal for the Napa event. Program participants and coaches are already registered through the program and do not need separate registration.
Onsite features include face painting, happy hair stations, water stations, and a Dream Hall where local women leaders connect with participants. The council expects over 800 attendees and provides designated accessible parking. Safety measures include race bibs for all participants, assigned running buddies, course monitoring, head counts, and a council safety plan.
Registration fee tiers are listed for online and same-day registration, with reduced pricing for financial assistance. Sizing for registration items is not guaranteed after October 2. The council also recruits many volunteers each season—at least 75 roles are needed to support setup, course safety, registration, and post-event cleanup.
