Annadel Loop
Annadel Loop is a trail race organized by the Empire Runners Club in Annadel State Park. The course covers 6.45 miles through the park hills and is listed as the 40th annual running of the event. The race start is located in the state park parking lot at the end of Channel Drive; it will not start at the Cobblestone Trailhead as in previous years.
Registration details are specified by the organizer. Online registration is open through 5PM on Saturday, September 5. Entry fees differ for club members and non-members, with higher fees for race day registration. The event is limited to the first 100 runners registered. There are no refunds unless the event is cancelled.
The event uses staggered starts; runners receive head starts based on age and gender. Awards are given to the top 13 finishers. Parking at the Channel Drive lot is limited; the organizer notes that carpooling and dispersed parking are recommended, with examples such as Montgomery Drive and Violetti. Participants may use the jog down Channel Drive as a warm up. Volunteer opportunities are associated with the event and the organizer provides past results and a course map.
