Girls on the Run North 5K (Essex, Morris and Union)
The Girls on the Run North 5K is an end-of-season celebratory 5K for Girls on the Run program participants in Essex, Morris and Union counties. The event takes place on Saturday, May 30 at Branch Brook Park, Northern Division, between Bloomfield Avenue and Heller Parkway in Newark, New Jersey. The park entrance near the GOTR Village is the Ballantine Gates at 257-259 Ballantine Parkway, Newark NJ 07104.
Event activities include packet pick up, a Girls on the Run festival, a pre-race program, and teams meeting by their county flags (Morris, Union and Essex). Teams gather at the starting line before the 5K. The 5K Celebration is held rain or shine. Parking is limited along the one-way Branch Brook Park loop road.
Registration information is provided for non-program participants: online 5K registration through May 29 is $35, and race weekend registration on May 30 and May 31 is $40. Program participants have already been registered for the 5K and do not need to register. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
