Valparaiso 5K Celebration
The Girls on the Run Indiana Crossroads Valparaiso 5K is a season-closing, celebratory 5K for program participants and community registrants. The event takes place on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at Valparaiso University, 1700 Chapel Drive, Valparaiso, IN 46383. The 5K course is 3.1 miles and is presented as a noncompetitive, celebratory experience that emphasizes completion and confidence.
Registered participants who finish the course receive a commemorative medal; a 5K shirt is included with registration. The event includes a festival with a DJ, a Sparkle Fun Zone offering temporary hairstyles and GOTR tattoos, food vendors, selfie stations, and merchandise for sale. Dogs are requested to stay home unless they are service animals. Designated parking spots are available.
Registration pricing and windows are published for adults and youth. Online registration from September 21 through October 27 lists adult and youth rates, with a higher adult fee on the day of the event; packet pickup registration is also available prior to the 5K. Program participants and coaches are registered through the program and do not need separate registration.
Safety measures include required race bibs, course monitoring by volunteers and bikers, and a sweeper at the end of the course.
