Bigfoot Half Trail Run
Bigfoot Half Trail Run takes place at Stoney Run County Park in Hebron, Indiana. The event uses park shelters for packet pick up and race operations; parking areas are designated on the event map and there is no parking allowed on the road.
The course is mixed surface and includes grass fields, pavement, gravel road and single-track trails. The route requires two loops with an overlapping section on each loop. Flags and arrow signs mark the course and participants are asked to follow the flags rather than other runners.
Aid support includes a main aid station at the start and finish area offering water, Gatorade, granola bars and UCANN gels, and a nonmanned aid station near the 3.5 mile mark with water and Gatorade. Participants who need specific food or gels are advised to carry their own items in a hydration pack.
At packet pick up each participant receives a raffle ticket; winners are selected during the run and posted on a board by their ticket digits after finishing. Timing is handled informally with a numbered popsicle stick issued at the finish; that stick must be returned to a shelter volunteer to receive any medals for overall places or age group awards. Bib numbers should be pinned to the front of the shirt. The event will also sell previous Crazy Legs Race Series items for $5 with proceeds benefiting the park, and a selection of Bigfoot hats will be available.
