Last Mile 2026
Last Mile 2026 is a two-day fundraising event presented by Gifford Health Care and held in August. The program spans Friday, August 14 and Saturday, August 15, and combines timed and non-timed activities across two days.
Activities include:
- Timed 5K run
- One or two mile walk options
- Bicycle ride
- Motorcycle ride
Proceeds support local patients and families who are at the end of life. Funds are used to help cover costs such as alternative therapies, transportation, family meals, portraits, and unique wishes. Every participant is encouraged to raise funds; top fundraiser prizes are distributed at the event. Raffles are part of the fundraising activities.
Participants who register by July 1 receive a free t-shirt. The event lists a group of sponsors that support the effort, including Nolan Family Farm, Norwich Solar, Firetech Sprinkler, Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC, Vermont Glove, MMR LLC, HP Cummings, and Ovation Healthcare.
