The Sprouty : Sharon, Vermont
The Sprouty is a community road event held on September 12, 2026, at Sharon Elementary School in Sharon, Vermont. It offers a short walk/run and a longer race along the White River and supports the Farm-to-School program at Sharon Elementary School.
The event includes:
- 5K walk/run
- 10K run
A kids fun-run loop takes place around the elementary school; all children who run receive ribbons. Children 12 and under register for free but must register to participate. Every participant under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign the USATF waiver before racing. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in both the 5K and 10K. All participants receive a free lettuce plant from Dandelion Acres.
Registration fees listed for 2026 are $20 for adults and children over 12 for the 5K (increasing to $25 after 8/21) and $25 for adults and children over 12 for the 10K (increasing to $30 after 8/21). Entry fees are non-refundable; organizers may consider extenuating circumstances. The initial RunSignUp processing fee is not refundable.
