Aurora Turkey Trot 5K & Mashed Potato Mile
The Aurora Turkey Trot 5K and Mashed Potato Mile takes place on November 26, 2026, in Aurora, Ohio. The event is centered at 109 W. Pioneer Trail and features multiple running options through the local area on Thanksgiving morning. Participation is open for individual races or a combined entry option.

- 1 Mile
- gobble & go combo (participation in both distances)
Registration for all events opens in early September and remains available until the end of October. Participants have the opportunity to collect their race materials on the day before the event at Aurora High School near the cafeteria entrance, or on the morning of the races at the event site.
As part of the holiday event, the organizers collect food donations to support the community. Participants and visitors can bring non-perishable items to the packet pickup locations. Highly requested donations include peanut butter, jelly, pasta, pasta sauce, canned soup, canned fruit, and various snack items. All donated goods must be within their expiration dates.
