Turkey Burner

About the race

The Turkey Burner is a community running and walking event held at Hinckley Reservation that supports Running2bwell and its free wellness programs for people struggling with addiction and mental health issues. The course loops around Hinckley Lake on the paved path and is run counterclockwise. The start and finish are at the South Ball Field parking lot, 1920 East Dr, Hinckley. Parking is limited and registration is capped at 1200; the main Spillway and the Sledding Hill areas offer the largest parking areas within walking distance of the start.

Event formats include:

• 5K run
• 1 mile fun run or walk (participants may walk the full 5K or turn around to make a 1 mile walk)
• 5K virtual option with shirt and medal mailed to virtual participants and an option to enter times for comparison through 11/23

Early packet pick up is scheduled for 11/25 at 2425 Medina Rd, Medina. All participants receive a custom long-sleeved shirt and a medal. Fundraising incentives include an entry fee refund for those who raise $100, additional rewards at $200 including a refund plus an insulated travel mug and a pair of socks, and Fleet Feet gift cards for the top 10 fundraisers (minimum $200) valid in Cleveland area stores through 1/31/27. Age group awards are custom winter hats for winners in age categories under 10, 10 to 14, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over. Participants sometimes wear Thanksgiving themed costumes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
