Event
The Gator Wilderness Camp Trail Run/Walk takes place on April 25, 2026 at Gator Wilderness Camp School in Punta Gorda, Florida (44930 Farabee Road, Punta Gorda, FL 33982). The trail race uses camp grounds that cover about 250 acres and runs through woods and shaded hammocks. The event includes these distances:
- 5k
- 10k
- 15k
The event also features a Kids Fun Dash and a one-day Virtual Gator Wilderness event.
Additional details
All race entry proceeds benefit Gator Wilderness Camp School, a 501(c)(3) residential school for adolescent males ages 10-15 from Southwest Florida. The Kids Fun Dash is open to ages 2-12; children must register and the dash is free. The virtual event is limited to a single day to mimic race day and race shirts for virtual participants are shipped by USPS in a flat rate box. Shirts are guaranteed for registrations received by April 1.
Awards are planned for overall and masters finishers in the 5k, and for overall finishers in the 10k and 15k, plus top three in five-year age groups for both males and females. Special pricing of $20 is available for cross country runners aged 15-18 through April 20. No pets or running strollers are allowed on the trail.
