Charlotte County Habitat for Humanity's 27th Annual Turkey Trot is a 5K run and 5K fun walk held on Thursday, November 27, 2025, on the Florida SouthWestern State College, Punta Gorda campus (26300 Airport Rd, Punta Gorda, FL 33950). The event is presented by Southern Oxygen & Welding Supply and hosted by Florida SouthWestern State College. The race features a novelty "Chase the Turkey" element that includes a bicycle-riding turkey character. The college enforces a no pet, no smoking policy on campus.

Registration, logistics and purpose
Registration price periods are: April 1 - October 19 ($35), October 20 - November 26 ($40), and day-of registration ($45). Race shirt registration deadline is October 19, 2025. Youth fees: ages 3 and under are free (shirt and medal require a youth entry under the Fun Walk at $25); ages 4-14 are $25. Early packet pick-up is available at the Habitat office (1750 Manzana Ave, Punta Gorda) on November 25 and 26; packet pick-up and day registration occur at FSW College on race day.
Proceeds and donations support Charlotte County Habitat for Humanity’s Homeownership Program to help provide affordable housing in Charlotte County. Since 1987 the affiliate reports it has assisted over 570 families and plans to help an additional 27 families in the current fiscal year. Age-group and overall awards are offered across multiple age brackets and master divisions. Tag time (chip time) is used for age-group results.
