Charlotte County Habitat Turkey Trot 5K

Charlotte County Habitat for Humanity presents the 28th Annual Turkey Trot, a family friendly 5K run/walk held on the Florida SouthWestern State College Punta Gorda campus at 26300 Airport Road, Punta Gorda, FL 33950. The event features a bicycle riding turkey as a recurring attraction and raises funds for Habitat for Humanity programs that support affordable housing and homeownership in Charlotte County.

All participants registered by the shirt deadline receive a race shirt and a finisher medal. The race shirt registration deadline is October 25, 2026. Youth registration details: ages 3 and under are free but do not receive a bib; if a race shirt and finisher medal are desired for ages 3 and under, registrants must sign up under the Fun Walk category and pay the youth fee. Ages 4 through 14 are charged a youth fee of $30.

Registration pricing: June 1 through October 25 is $40; October 26 through November 25 is $45; day of registration is $50. Online registration closes November 25 at noon. Registration is non-refundable and non-deferrable.

Packet pickup is available November 24 and 25 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Charlotte County Habitat for Humanity office, 1750 Manzana Ave, Punta Gorda, FL 33950, and on race day at the FSW Building O Cafeteria. Age-group awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each age bracket from 9 and under through 80 and over. Overall awards are presented in divisions including Overall Masters 40+, Grand Masters 50+, Senior Grand Masters 60+, Veteran Masters 70+, and Youth 14 and under. Per USATF rules, gun time is used for prize money winners and tag time is used for age-group results. FSW College policy prohibits pets and smoking on campus.
