Galloway's Gallop Road Race
The event is a combined 4-mile road race and a 3-mile fell race, with the fell race described as a trail/fell event. Both races start and finish at the Malt Shovel Inn in Warton, using the postcode LA5 9PG. The fell race runs over Warton Crag and is approximately 5 kilometers in length.
Entry fees vary. For the fell race, online entry is £10 for all athletes. For the 4-mile road race, online fees are £12 for affiliated (club) athletes, £14 for unaffiliated athletes, and £10 for Lancaster Runners' Club members. Entry on the day is possible for cash only, costing £10 for the fell race and £15 for the 4-mile race, with a note that online portals may add a small fee.
The event supports two charities: the Northwest Air Ambulance and the Lancaster Neonatal Department. All finishers receive a medal. A special memento is awarded to the first 10 male and first 10 female finishers.
