Galloway's Gallop - event details
Galloway's Gallop takes place on Saturday 25 July 2026 and uses the Malt Shovel Inn, LA5 9PG, as the start and finish location. The event includes a trail/fell race that runs over Warton Crag. Distances offered are:
- 4 mile road race
- Approximately 5 km fell race
Entry, fees and awards
Online entry fees list the fell race at £10. Online fees for the 4 mile road race are: affiliated club athletes £21, unaffiliated athletes £23, and Lancaster Runners Club members £17. Entry on the day is cash only; the fell race is £10 and the 4 mile road race is £25 for affiliated and unaffiliated athletes, and £20 for Lancaster Runners Club members. The organiser notes online portals may add a small fee and that there is a no swaps, refunds or deferrals policy. All finishers receive a medal. A special memento is given to the first 10 male and first 10 female finishers. The event supports Northwest Air Ambulance and Lancaster Neonatal Department.
