Event Details
Galloway's Gallop consists of two separate races: a 4 mile road race and a 3 mile fell race. Both events start and finish at the Malt Shovel Inn (LA5 9PG).
The fell race is described as a trail/fell race that runs over Warton Crag and is approximately 5 km (3 miles) in length.
The road race covers a distance of 4 miles.
Fees and Registration
Online entry fees are as follows:
- Fell race: £10 for all athletes.
- 4 mile road race: £21 for affiliated (club) athletes, £23 for unaffiliated athletes, and £17 for Lancaster Runners Club members.
Entry on the day is available, payable in cash only. On-the-day fees are:
- Fell race: £10.
- 4 mile road race: £25 for both affiliated and unaffiliated athletes, and £20 for Lancaster Runners Club members.
A policy of no swaps, refunds, or deferrals is in place.
Awards and Support
All finishers receive a medal. The first ten male and female finishers receive a special memento. The event supports two charities: Northwest Air Ambulance and the Lancaster Neonatal Department. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
