Event Overview
The Summer Farm Yard Five is a five-mile run organized by PFW Running in partnership with Farm Yard Brew Co. The event is part of a series of three beer-themed runs scheduled for 2026.
Course Details
The course starts and finishes at the Farm Yard Brew Co. brewery on Gulf Lane in Lancaster. Runners head out along Gulf Lane, with views of the open countryside and the Trough of Bowland hills. The organizers describe the course as fast and flat, and state that it is accurately measured and held under a road running license.
On-Site Facilities
The brewery's tap room opens at 5pm for runners and spectators. A street food vendor will be present, serving food available for purchase. Free parking is available.
What's Included
The entry fee includes:
- An accurately measured course.
- Medical cover.
- Friendly marshals.
- A beer-stocked aid station at the halfway point (water is optional).
- A voucher for a free pint of beer or soft drink for all finishers (no medals are awarded).
- Entry into a draw for six cans of Farm Yard Brew Co. beer.
- Prizes for the first three male and first three female runners (two cans of beer each).
Registration
The event takes place on Thursday, July 16, 2026. Registration opens at 5:30pm, with the race starting at 6:30pm. Entry costs £18 for affiliated runners and £20 for unattached runners.
