3rd Annual Viking 5K
The 3rd Annual Viking 5K is a 5K run and walk held in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, centered on Fort Walton Beach High School. The course is described as stroller friendly, fast and flat, and the run finishes on the FWBHS football field. The event supports the FWBHS Football Team.
The registration fee is $25.00. Registration opens on 2026-06-27 and closes on 2026-08-01. Day of on-site packet pickup is provided at the school football field beginning at 6:00 and continuing until 7:15. T shirts are guaranteed only to entrants who preregister; earlier registration improves the chance of receiving the correct size.
Awards are offered for runners and walkers. Runners receive first place overall male and female and first place in these age groups: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+. Walkers receive overall male and female awards.
The event is scheduled to run rain or shine and there are no refunds. A post race picnic is planned following the finish. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
